COME HOME TO YOUR TRUE WILD NATURE, THROUGH THE BODY

This is a call to those who know they incarnated on Earth to be an anchor for organic consciousness through awakening the ancient technologies of their human body.

Those who feel this call will understand that we are living in times where synthetic realities, and the forces that drive them, are increasingly disconnecting human beings from their bodies and from the living Earth that we belong to, causing unprecedented ruptures to our collective wellbeing.

This is not just about AI, over-domestication and tech-advancement. It is a strategic sterilisation and severance from the soul-body, and a disconnection from the Divine which, for millennia, has been accessed through our embodied connection to nature.

And yet, those who were born for these times are waking up and being asked to remember the truth of who they are. To embody and remember what it truly means to be human. Sovereign, authentic, and deeply connected; enlivened by the animate forces of nature pulsing through their body and expressing itself through service to the greater ecology they are a part of.

Most of us have simply forgotten, through the loss of practice, how deeply magical we are and how much connection is available to us.

This course is the first step in our journey home, and ecosomatics is one of the most powerful tools we have to guide us there.

LONGING FOR A LOST WORLD

In 2009, the first Avatar film was released and became the highest grossing film in history. Shortly after, major publications reported a new phenomenon called Post-Avatar Depression Syndrome.

People were flooding forums, social media and clinics saying they fell into depression after watching the film. This wasn't because the movie was negative, it was that the story touched a longing in modern humans that feels so tender.

For many, the forests of Pandora and the lifeways of the Nav'i felt more real, alive, and like home than the world they returned to when the credits rolled. For a moment, their body remembered what it felt like to know this level of connection and belonging - to nature, to each other, and to something vast and alive and intelligent.

And whilst this film was just a story, it is certainly not fantasy. This is our original blueprint.

But somewhere amongst paying the bills, packing kids lunches, the 6am news, scrolling Instagram & the plethora of distractions....we lost the trail. There's nothing 'wrong' with that, and it's ultimately part of our soul game. Yet we have never felt more lonely, disconnected, disembodied, and void of true purpose.

And perhaps if you're reading this, you've also felt that that niggling sense that there is something more. Something you might not have language for yet, but your body aches for it.

Because your body knows, that world isn't lost. You've just forgotten how connect with it beyond the wall of green. So let me show you what your body remembers.

Experience a level of connection, aliveness and unquestionable belonging that most people don't even realize exists.

What Is Ecosomatics?

Ecosomatics is an rapidly emerging field that reclaims our innate connection to the Earth through the living wisdom of the body. At its heart, it addresses the most primal wound that we carry as modern humans; the wound of seperation.

From a philosophical perspective, ecosomatics specifically merges the fields of Somatics and Deep Ecology. Somatics recognises the body as a source of wisdom or ecological intelligence from which we can orient our lives. Whereas deep ecology understands our interconnectedness with all of life and that there is intrinsic consciousness or animacy which exists in the wider ecology.

Ecosomatics therefore acknowledges that the way in which we understand and practice our interconnectedness to the animate world is through our bodies.

And through this connection, we remember our true purpose/self, aka our ecological identity.

Mytho-Ecosomatics:
A world-first

One of the most unique aspects of this course is the world-first introduction to Mytho-Ecosomatics, a new branch of ecosomatics pioneered through Brittany’s doctoral research.

Mytho-Ecosomatics offers a new pathway for experiencing nature’s animacy through embodied engagement with myth. The framework is rooted in the understanding that myths are not merely a collection of archaic stories or cultural artefacts but emergent expressions of nature's consciousness encoded in storied form that may be embodied and honoured in present time through somatic practice.

Across all animist traditions, embodied practices such as ritual dance, song, and ceremony have long been used to engage with these myths, forming and sustaining the relational fabric between humans and the living, spirited world of nature. This work brings these traditions into a contemporary context, offering a pathway to reawaken our most ancient ways of relating to the animate Earth.

Cairi is a visual artist, singer, and researcher who explores themes of belonging, kinship, and our relationship to land through traditional folk song, story and poetry. Her work centres on channelling the voice of the Earth using ecosomatic attunement and deep listening practices through which place can be expressed through the body. Through her current PhD research and projects such as Llais y Lle (The Voice of Place), Cairi's work draws largely from her own cultural lineage, particularly the Welsh language and its intimate entanglement with landscape, song, and poetic tradition. With fireside singing in her blood and a craft honed through a cappella harmony singing, she also recently released an album titled 'The Arms of The Earth', as a living expression of her artistic and research practice.

Who is this course for?

  • Those who feel an innate call to this work. Your soul knows. I encourage you to trust that intuitive pull. Many people have joined this work knowing very little about it, only to realise it was exactly what they had been searching for all their life.
  • Those who long to feel a profound sense of connection and belonging to nature, to their bodies and their true self.
  • Those who desire to awaken the dormant abilities that lie within their body and experience the depth of the Earth's great mysteries and magic.
  • Those who are willing to commit to the practices involved. This is not an intellectual excercise; it is an experiential immersion. Whilst it offers philosophical teachings, the practice of this work is where it really comes alive. The depth of what you receive will be shaped by your willingness to show up and engage.
  • Those who are open to expanding their worldview and way of being in the world. This work may challenge existing identities, attachments, and ways of relating to the world. You must have a willingness to be guided/coached, even if you already feel knowledgeable in this space.

What People are Saying...

“It’s been 6 weeks since I emerged and if I’m honest, I think I’m only just starting to realise the deep shift this experience has created within me. As the world gets crazier, more divisive and less stable, it feels like my own stability and inner compass are increasing in strength. For me, it wasn’t ever about learning nature skills, it was about coming back to life”

STACEY

"I have deeply connected to Mother Earth & heard her stories in a way I never have before. My heart has been broken over and put back together in a whole new way of connection. I truly honoured & listened to my body for the first time in my life. I have been totally rewilded in deep connection with the earth & community."

LISA

"I teach yoga and breathwork and have done many programs, and I can honestly and authentically say this has been one of the most impactful experiences I have ever had. The most impactful part of it all has to be the connection I’ve made with nature. Coming home to nature and tapping into my feminine felt like everything I had ever been searching for."

MELANIE

"There comes a time when you just know, when you trust that tiny but powerful feeling deep within you. This is how it was for me with this work. In a world full of programs and experiences it can feel overwhelming. Wait for the one that calls you. Be discerning. Trust yourself, you will know.

But also know, from a women who has now walked before you, that this work is like no other. This was a transformational experience for me that has literally shifted the trajectory of my life but in such subtle and gentle ways that only I will truly know.”

Your GUIDE: DR Brittany Jane

Dr Brittany Jane is a Somatic Ecologist, Rewilding Mentor, and Eco-Philosopher with over 11 years of experience leading embodied experiences that reconnect people to the wild. As the world becomes more digitalised, domesticated and disembodied, she is passionate about reawakening humanity’s relationship with the Earth - through the body - as the foundation for holistic wellbeing and spiritual evolution.

Brittany is a leading voice in the field of Ecosomatics and one of the first people in Australia to receive a doctorate in this field. Her innovative research explores ways of relating to and restoring living ecologies through the body, and more specifically, the paradigm and practice of dance as an ecological necessity. Her work has received numerous awards for its unique leadership in socio-ecological regeneration, including the inaugural Westpac Future Leaders Award, and the Prime Minister's Endeavour Award, and she was an Australian Representative to the UN Conference for Sustainable Development.

Brittany has also put her philosophies to the test as a contestant on the popular tv show, Naked and Afraid, one of the most challenging survival experiences in the world. During this experience, she survived 21 days in the South Africa bushveld (naked!) with only two items and a strong passion for showcasing a different approach to outdoor survival - one that relates to the ecology as a conscious ally and teacher.

Today, Brittany offers a range of programs that guide people into deeper relationship with their bodies, their soul, and nature, so they can feel fully alive and connected to their greater life purpose. Her most recent work also also explores the emerging field of mytho-ecosomatics which integrates mythology, somatic practice, and ecology as a means of reawakening embodied animism in the modern world.

INTERESTED IN BECOMING AN ECOSOMATIC PRACTITIONER?

Frequently asked questions

WHAT TIME ARE THE LIVE CALLS?

The live calls will either be at 10am AEST (Sydney) or 7pm AEST (Sydney). Brittany will be based in South Africa for the first month of the course before returning to Australia, hence the time changes. As much as we try to maintain consistency with call times, we kindly ask for your flexibility if a call time needs to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes, there is a 4-part monthly payment plan option.

If you require an extended payment plan, we are willing to support this on a case by case basis. Please get in touch at hello@avatarainstitute.com.

What if I Miss a Call or the Time Doesn't Work for Me?

All calls will be recorded and uploaded to the learning portal as soon as possible (within 24 hours). If you are unable to make a live call, you can always watch the recording.

Do you offer refunds?

No refunds are available after payment. If you are on a payment plan, you can request to cancel your plan if you choose to withdraw from the course, however no refunds for previous monthly payments will be given. Please consider your choice to join the course thoroughly before enrolling.

What if I fall behind in the content?

We have a number of break weeks and project weeks (no calls) built into the course so you can catch up on material if you weren't able to attend classes or complete aspects of the program. Do not stress about falling behind, just show up as often as you can, even if you've missed a few weeks.

How long will I have access to the course?

You will have access to the course portal for 6 months. This gives you plenty of time to catch up on anything you may have missed or wish to re-watch. After 6 months, the course will be closed as a way of energetically closing the container and encouraging people to finish.

How much time does the course require each week?

You can expect to commit approximately 3 hours per week.

This may feel like a significant investment at first, but it’s worth gently considering how that time might already be dispersed across your week. For example, could you exchange scrolling social media for listening to some of the content? As such, this course offers an opportunity to consciously reinvest that time into something that actually gives back.

The structure is also designed to be flexible. For example, the practice homework can be adapted depending on how deeply you wish to engage in any given week.

Do the course require a certain level of experience or fitness?

No. All experience and fitness levels are welcome. While this work does involve movement, each practice is designed to be adaptable to your body.

The deeper intention of this course is about developing sensitivity to your own body’s impulses, rhythms, and needs. As such, you are always invited to meet the practices in a way that feels supportive for you. While some guidance may be offered from a standing position, you are equally welcome to engage seated or lying down. You could complete the entire course in this way if needed, including simply listening and engaging somatically at an internal or energetic level. You know your body best. This space is designed to support that knowing, not override it.

Are there any age limits?

Due to the nature of the content, participants must be 18 years and over. There is no upper age limit.

Is it open to everyone?

Yes, both women and men are welcome.

Does this course qualify me to teach ecosomatics?

No. This course is an experiential introduction to the foundations of ecosomatics and is not designed as a practitioner training. There is a more in-depth practitioner pathway (coming soon) for those who feel called to either become an Ecosomatic Practitioner or integrate this work into their existing offerings. This Foundations course is a prerequisite for that advanced training, however.

Please also note that all content within this course is protected by copyright and is intended solely for your personal experience. It is not to be used or repurposed as teaching material within your own courses or offerings.
